Here is the experience of our stay at Warbrook Heritage House Hotel, a Grade 1 listed country estate located near the Berkshire-Hampshire border, close to Basingstoke.

A night in Warbrook, North Hampshire

Warbrook Heritage House Hotel is a venue that mainly specialises in weddings & bespoke events, but is also perfect for a night or two away in the countryside. It’s also an option for a cosy business trips

We arrived on Friday evening and headed up the wooded drive, the feel of the hotel interiors certainly goes with the heritage building, a friendly welcome from reception before heading to our manor garden view room where we were staying. A nice personalised welcome awaited in the room and the size of the room and bed was great and always enjoy a bathroom with a bath to enjoy.

Sophisticated three-course dinner

🍴They have recently opened a new restaurant within the hotel called “The Clove Canal View” which is a fine Indian restaurant. We enjoyed a 3 course dinner trying out all sorts of different flavours and textures, nice to try some original recipes on the Indian cuisine front. It was a quieter night in the restaurant as next door they were hosting a murder mystery evening for guests, so we enjoyed the attentive staff and quick service. Cocktails to go with the meal too.

Lavish afternoon tea and walk

The hotel is nestled in 121 acres of Grade II listed gardens, with its very own Versailles-style canal and Waterloo bridge, just picture perfect as we experienced on our post-breakfast walk around the grounds, must return in summer to see what it’s like!

Saturday afternoon we enjoyed an afternoon tea in one of their large rooms with large open windows to enjoy the garden views and we even spotted some deer in the grounds.

This hotel is perfect for a mini getaway for those locals in Hampshire as it’s nice and affordable too, for example as of writing this a room for two is just over £70.

A great option for exploring in north Hampshire 💚
