We spent a night at the family-friendly New Park Manor in the heart of the New Forest. It’s part of Luxury Family Hotels who have five properties across the UK and they have a ‘family-focused’ approach. 👶🏽👧
This was immediately made clear on our arrival, as within the first few hours of our stay we had a family pizza-making session, played footie and garden games with other guests and their kids, swam with inflatables in their outdoor pool, received some teddy treats in the room, said hi to the hotel rabbits, checked out the games and cinema room amongst other activities!
Beautiful surroundings and wildlife
🌳 The hotel is in a great location surrounded by nature and wildlife, there are plenty of walks and cycle routes on the doorstep of the hotel and it’s just a few minutes’ drive from Brockenhurst and the train station so also easy to get to by train. In the evening we went for a short walk near the hotel and had the glorious site of huge herds of deer at golden hour, there are apparently 300 deer that roam the grounds of New Park!
The staff were all really friendly and were clearly all used to the kids requests and characters! Very patient and welcoming, it felt a very safe environment for our older kids to walk to areas of the hotel by themselves. They made lots of friends within the short space of time we were there and we describe the atmosphere like a fun campsite atmosphere but in the hotel environment! The breakfast and dinner was great as it wasn’t that dead quiet you get at some nice hotel which can be awkward with kids, everyone in the same boat together with their kids, some more restless than others haha..enter the games room and cinema room which was an amazing spot!
When kids play, parents relax
The indoor spa was fab, as it had an indoor and outdoor area and adults and kids were side by side, rather than the separation that adults can sometimes get at spas. Nice shallow pool for the kids to enjoy and the view was unbeatable, as it overlooked the forest with horses and the deer visible from your swim.
At night time the kids were treated to help themselves to milk and cookies near reception, followed by an under-pillow toy treat which they were delighted by, as well as a YOTO for their bedtime stories. A Yoto Player plays audiobook stories, music, activities, sound effects, radio and podcasts for kids.
