Four Seasons Hampshire
A quintessential afternoon tea at Four Seasons in north Hampshire
This five star hotel in the county serves up one of the best afternoon teas around and we enjoyed experiencing it. The setting is in their drawing room and we loved the surroundings from the view of the countryside out the window to the beautifully laid table.
Of course we had to have a takeaway box as there was so many delicious cakes and scones, and yep you can expect at least one of the sandwiches to have caviar inโฆ

Chewton Glen
Afternoon tea at Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa in the New Forest!
We enjoyed a luxurious afternoon tea at Chewton Glen, a five-star hotel on the Hampshire/Dorset border. The beautiful 157-acre grounds offer activities like falconry and axe throwing, along with summer events like champagne pizza evenings. ๐
We were welcomed by friendly staff and seated in the light-filled restaurant with views of the terrace. The tea selection was vast, and we added some bubbly to accompany the classic sandwiches and beautifully presented pastries. Free-flowing scones and sandwiches were included, and we even took some treats home in stylish boxes. ๐ซ๐ง๐ฅช
Unique touches, like a starter and scones wrapped to stay warm, made the experience extra special. Afterward, we strolled through the lush grounds, enjoying the sunshine after the rainโa perfect afternoon.

Warbrook House Hotel
A countryside afternoon tea at Warbrook House Hotel ๐ซ๐ฐ
We enjoyed our afternoon tea in one of Warbrook House Hotel’s spacious rooms, where the big open windows let in lots of light and offered lovely views of the gardens. The atmosphere was so relaxing as we dug into a delicious spread of treats.
The tiered stand was filled with tasty finger sandwichesโthink cucumber and cream cheese, smoked salmon, and egg mayoโalong with freshly baked scones that came with clotted cream and homemade jam. And letโs not forget the pastries! From rich chocolate รฉclairs to fruity tarts, everything was a delight.
To top it all off, we even spotted some deer wandering around the grounds, which added a bit of magic to our afternoon. ๐ฆโจ

We’ve also seen that their Halloween-themed afternoon tea sounds like so much fun! ๐๐ธ๏ธ With spooky treats and seasonal twists on the usual menu, it seems like a festive way to enjoy the Halloween spirit. Definitely on our list to try! ๐ป๐

Balmer Lawn
Afternoon Tea at Balmer Lawn Hotel in the New Forest, Hampshire
*Ad pr invite -As you head into Brockenhurst from Lyndhurst you can’t miss this iconic hotel with their big lawn directly infront featuring a cricket pitch and roaming new forest ponies and cattle. We recently headed to the four star hotel to enjoy their afternoon tea on offer.
An independently run hotel, the Wilsonโs have been running the property over the last 25 years.
The friendly staff greeted us as the kids recieved some fab little gifts on arrival so a tick for the family friendly front. Our afternoon tea was beautifully presented and came with all the traditional faves like a pot of Tea, freshly prepared finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream & jam and a selection of home baked cakes and biscuits.
The experience also came with refillable tea and coffee options. If youโre vegetarian or vegan, or you have dietary restrictions, they can cater for you; just let them know your requirements/preferences, and they will adjust your afternoon tea to suit.
They are dog friendly, too – so donโt forget to take your pooch with you so you can make the most your nature strolls on the hotel doorstep!

Rhinefield House
Afternoon tea at Rhinefield House Hotel
We enjoyed an excellent afternoon tea inside, they have a sweet or savoury afternoon tea as well as a children’s afternoon tea. ๐ซ
After enjoying the tea we went for a quick explore of the grounds with a highlight being the huge koi carp in the various water features who gave us a chuckle.
We will definitely be returning, to explore the grounds in more detail and enjoy some croquet on the lawn!

Spinnaker Tower
High tea in the clouds at Spinnaker Tower
AD – pr visit We have viewed the spinnaker tower for many years from many viewpoints around Hampshire, but never been to the top until we did the afternoon tea. We were invited to try out the high tea at the top of the tower and with the most original view in all the County for an afternoon tea we couldn’t wait to experience it!
The clouds cafe is 105 metres above the ground and definitely wows on first arrival into the space with the floor to ceiling glass walls and amazing views across to isle of wight and over portsmouth and southsea. The afternoon tea featured all the traditional favourites and was very generous with the portions so we just had to have a takeaway box for the kids. You can also make it more special with a bottle of Champagne or Prosecco. ๐ฅ
After the tea, we explored the other two decks at the top, the sky garden at the very top featured great views of Portsmouth’s historic dockyard and perfect photo opportunities. Then we headed down to the larger 1st deck which had the sky walk as the centrepiece. A glass walk where you can see right below you dropping down to the harbour, we recommend braving it to give you a rather different perspective.
